Abstract:

This lecture is a report of Chapter nine of the book Theory of p-adic Galois representations. I'll sketch the ideas in the book to prove two fundamental theorems in p-adic Hodge theory: "weakly admissible is admissible" and "de Rham is potentially semistable". If time permits, I'll give more details of the proofs.
