Abstract:

Inspired by Richard Hamming's famous talk on "You and Your Research", I will share my thoughts on how to pursue research excellence. I will first discuss what is research and how to define research topics in general. Then I will share personal views on the role of reading, writing and presentation in achieving research excellence. This talk will also cover topics of research ethics and dissemination. I hope junior researchers and graduate students will find the talk inspirational and useful with useful tips.
