Abstract:

In this talk, we first recall a theorem of Tits type for automorphism groups of projective varieties which is due to D.-Q. Zhang. We give the classifications of automorphism groups of projective varieties with the maximal and sub-maximal dynamical ranks. Finally, the final section is the applications to Zariski dense orbit conjecture and Kawaguchi-Silverman conjecture in arithmetic dynamics.
