It is widely believed, both in China and in Western countries, that the field of animal ethics originated in the West, but ignores that China also has a very deep tradition of animal ethics. In this conversation, Peter Singer, and An-wu Lin will discuss the theories and practices of animal ethics in both Western countries and in China, and will explore how both sets of values could improve by learning from each other, and working together to make the world a kinder and less cruel place.
